Release Date: November 2011
List Price: $700 USD
Available at AmazonAdorama • B&H Photo Video

Overview

Even though this camera is a follow-up to Sony's own NEX-5 camera, it really doesn't have a lot in common with the previous model.

The NEX-5N features an all new 16 megapixel sensor, speedier autofocus and an ISO setting that goes all the way up to 25600. Video is also improved, leveraging version 2.0 of the AVCHD™ format, and letting you capture Full HD 1080p video at either 60 or 24 frames per second.

Finally, the NEX-5N is the only Sony mirrorless camera (at the time of release) with a 3 inch touch-screen LCD, providing you with quick access to the camera's menus and settings.

Camera body colors include: Black and Silver.
