Sony NEX-5 Features

sony nex-5
Release Date: June 2010
List Price: $800 USD

Overview

The Sony NEX-5 is similar in all ways to the less expensive NEX-3...except for its high-definition video mode.

Instead of the HD 720p mode available on the NEX-3, the NEX-5 provides you with the ability to capture Full HD 1080i video in addition to still images. The NEX-5 is the first mirrorless DSLR to include a 1080i video mode.

If you really want a dual-purpose video and still camera, then the extra cost of the NEX-5 may be well worth it.
