Overview

The Pentax K-01 is the company's first entry into the mirrrorless camera market.

There are several things that make the K-01 unique: the first is the fact that it is compatible with "normal" Pentax SLR lenses (other mirrorless cameras use special lenses).

This makes the K-01 body deeper than other mirrorless alternatives and it also makes the camera a bit heavier.

A second unique feature is the inclusion of in-body image stabilization. While you can get stabilization with other mirrorless cameras, it's included in the lens, not in the camera body.

This means that with the Pentax K-01 you get stabilization regardless of the lens you use.

FInally, for those who are tired of the solid black look, the K-01 body is available in white and canary yellow (with black accents).
