Overview

The PEN E-PL1 adds a lot of features over the E-P1 and E-P2 and takes a few away - although not that many that you'd notice.

First and foremost, the E-PL1 gains a built-in flash: great for portability, but low in power. This exterior change is complemented by some improvements on the inside: the ability to take multiple exposures, art filters (for creative image enhancement without a computer) and the ability to fire off-camera Olympus flashes using the built-in flash as a trigger.

When you consider that the camera ADDS functionality while reducing its price, it makes it an attractive option in the Olympus PEN lineup.
